4. O positivismo foi uma das grandes correntes de pensamento social, destacando-se, entre seus principais teóricos, Augusto Comte e Émile Durkheim. Durkheim, Weber, Marx e Engels e Foucault, respectivamente. Todavia, tendo em vista que os autores são pesquisadores especialistas nesses pensadores, tornou-se inviável a padronização da escrita, o que, por conseguinte, torna o texto muito mais rico e fecundo.
